Making Music a Lifelong Companion
Performing music is one aspect of sharing just as waves are one aspect of the ocean; it is where the energy one has put toward learning and practicing is transferred into the mists and sprays and atmosphere of others. The ocean depths are the hours of practice and dedication that one swims, explores and plays within to develop technique and style.

After an undergraduate degree in classical performance singing, with a double major in composition, my professional experiences with music began as a composer in Toronto and Montreal. Work with Theater companies as singer/actress, director and music director were intensely rewarding and lead to songwriting. A world music ensemble and festivals brought me to BC to live and raise a family. My musical pursuits changed from performing to teaching, learning European band instruments and playing in Kelowna City band and Lake Country Big Band. Creating educational structures for middle school students to develop lifelong learning of music skills is my current priority. Singing and Songwriting remains my most cherished activity.
